Shikha is a registered psychologist and couples therapist. She is passionate about helping adults and adolescents navigate through anxiety, low mood, identity confusion, and relationship conflict.

Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of how trauma, grief and loss can weave into everyday life, shaping experiences, interactions and the stories we create for ourselves.

Shikha approaches her clients with warmth and compassion, always attuned to their unique needs. Her style is informed by her training in evidence-based modalities.

She works flexibly, drawing from Psychodynamic, Attachment and Existential-Humanistic philosophies while incorporating practical therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method.

Shikha's own experience of living between cultures enriches her empathy for those who feel like outsiders or experience marginalisation related to race, gender or sexuality. Beyond therapy, she is passionate about research and teaching, continually seeking to expand her knowledge and practice.

Shikha holds a PhD and MPsych(Couns), is registered with AHPRA, and sessions with her are eligible for Medicare rebate with a valid GP referral.
